Had a great time out here for a midday Sunday round. The layout is wooded, serene, and challenging, with some tight tee shots on the front nine in particular. The back opens up by comparison. Grassy hummocks in lieu of bunkers add a ton of visual interest, as well as strategy. They are no joke to hack out of! Staff was exceptionally friendly and welcoming.
The course is fine, not great. Even after the remodel it has hints of old course. The prices of everything is too high... the 🌠hotdogs, the rounds of golf. Can you imagine a Saturday round in January on a 45 degree windy day costing $85? No. It is over priced for the course quality. It is not on par with Waverly Woods but that's how they charge.
UPDATE. Amazing the change in 1 year. Good Greens are great! Good course Marshall
Bad almost every fairway has large portions that have no grass, dirt or mud. Picture attached. The rough is very rough. No beverage carts.
The new course came out great! FINALLY got to play! Beautiful fairways and greens. A couple real tough holes and the price is great! They don’t have a real bar and grill but i think it’s in the plans.
This course is really well maintained.
No bunker.
But many rough mounts beside fairway.
I really enjoyed.
I definitely come back on next week.
$45~65 weekday rate.
It was really worthy.
Conditions are making a comeback. Jam-packed on a Tuesday but staff was friendly. One fairway was recently sodded others were great including nicely groomed green aprons. I bet the greens will be nice once they've healed from aeration.
Gotta put water dispensers out on the course, or give 2 bottled waters for free at the start.
Played this course on Labor Day Weekend with a foursome. It was an afternoon tee time and it was 90F outside. The carts do not come with coolers/ice and you must get them from inside the pro shop. Bought a gatorade and 1 Miller Lite. The employee nearly scoffed when I asked for a cooler. Additionally, there was NO water on the course.
Greens were aerated recently but otherwise the grass on and around the greens was in great shape. The fairways were hit or miss, some were very dry or dead.
We were waiting for the slower group in front of us on the Tee Box at 17 when the ranger pulled up and rudely said that if we played faster he’d LET us play 18. It was 7:08 at the time, plenty of daylight left. Had he asked politely it would be understandable but absolutely no way to treat a paying customer. Will not be coming back to this course, no interest in being treated so unfriendly by staff.
Truly a beautiful golf course! Definitely one to play when you’re visiting the area! Course was in amazing condition and greens were rolling great too! #42 of 101 #ustour101
I typically don’t leave reviews, but this course needs to reassess their pricing based on the course condition….The greens haven’t been cut in ages and many of the fairways are very very very beat up(no grass, dirt, and mud). The fairway on 16 was particularly bad
For $85 at 2pm I’d expect this course to be in much better shape. I would consider other options in the area if you are looking to play locally
